MEDITERRANEAN MAGIC COMES TO EARLWOOD THIS SATURDAY
ARAB NEWS( CANTERBURY BANKSTOWN -SYDNEY) Get set for a celebration of Greek, Italian and Mediterranean culture with the Love Earlwood – Meet You at the Plateia Festival this Saturday.
Around 10,000 people are expected to visit Earlwood and explore a vibrant street-fest that will travel along Clarke Street to the corners of Lewins Street and Earlwood Avenue.
From 11am-5pm, there’ll be:
• Traditional dishes from local businesses including grilled souvlaki, pizza and pasta, as well as sweet treats like cannoli, loukoumades and tiramisu
• Live performances from Sydney Greek Dancing School, Italian Village Dancers, roving bouzouki and accordion players, and more
• Family-friendly entertainment including face-painting, games, rides and a classic muscle car show
• Comedian James Liotta as our hilarious festival MC
“With this year’s larger precinct and an extra hour of operations, we’re excited to welcome even more visitors to experience the incredible Mediterranean communities that have called Earlwood home for generations,” Canterbury-Bankstown Mayor Bilal El-Hayek said.
